Comfort Keepers is seeking a certified CNA or HHA who has the compassionate spirit to provide one-on-one home care to make a positive impact on the life of our senior client.This position requires non-medical, in-home support and home management services. This position is located in Chesapeake Beach, MD and requires weekday availability plus one weekend per month.

 CNA/HHA Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship to client
• Prepare and serve meals and/or snacks
• Provide grooming and dressing guidance
• Provide light housekeeping
• Provide laundry and linen service to include washing, ironing and folding clothes
• Provide shopping service to client to include grocery and clothes shopping
• Assist client with organizing incoming mail
• Provide incidental transportation for client which includes visits to doctor appointments, friends, family members, or stores
• Provide assistance and planning of client’s recreational activities and events
• May remind client of medications
• Record and report changes in the client’s physical condition, behavior or appearance
• Document services delivered in accordance with agency policies and procedures

CNA/HHA Qualifications:

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA) preferred. 
• Excellent business and personal references. 
• Reliable transportation for potential client errands and appointment trips as needed. 
• Genuinely concerned about helping people. 
• High morale standards of honesty and integrity. 
• Satisfactorily complete Comfort Keepers training and orientation program.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Lifting only up to 25 pounds is permitted and may be required.

Applicant must be bondable and pass the minimum qualifications for each of the following background checks: Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Driving Record, Credit History and business and personal references and give permission to submit to random drug and alcohol testing.

May provide any additional duties that the Caregiver has been trained in and is determined to be competent in, as long as those duties fall within the Maryland licensing regulations for Personal Assistance Services. Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens.

This position is located at our Dunkirk Office, located at 10351 Southern Maryland Blvd #201, Dunkirk, MD20754.

Our office serves the surrounding areas St. Mary’s, Calvert, Charles, Lower Anne Arundel and Prince George’s counties in Maryland. Current openings include client assignments in the Upper Marlboro, North Beach, Hollywood, and Bowie, MD areas for a variety of days and hours for someone with the right background and experience.
