The individual in this position provides personal care and homemaker/companion services to clients in the home setting. All services are provided under the supervision of a registered nurse.

  • Provide direct and indirect personal care to client's in the home setting
  • Documents and submits accurate records of personal health care activities
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and a professional relationship with clients, family members, and co-workers
  • Helps client with all personal care functions as needed
  • Immediately reports any incident or noticeable change in condition
  • Performs duties as assigned on personal care plan
  • Provides general attention to clients non-medical needs following an established care plan
  • Reminds client to take self-administered medications
  • Removes client’s medication container from the storage area and prepares necessary items (i.e. juice, water, cups, spoons, etc.) to help the client


  • Requires the ability to adapt to a variety of home environments (including working in homes with pets and smokers) and provide homemaker, companion, and personal care services to our clients.
  • Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays strongly preferred
  • Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance
  • Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
  • Be willing to drive clients up to 30 miles to provide client transport services
  • Must be bondable and meet or exceed minimum qualifications for background checks
  • Successful completion of Comfort Keepers training and orientation program required

This position is located at our Racine Office, located 1127 Prairie Dr #600, Racine, WI 53406. Our office serves the surrounding areas of Racine, Kenosha and more, and this position may require travel to those areas.
